School Board Meetings Moving Online for Foreseeable Future

HARRIS COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION MOVES MEETINGS ONLINE

HAMILTON, GA (APRIL 15, 2020) – During this emergency public COVID-19 health crisis and the Shelter in Place Executive Order by Governor Kemp, the Harris County Board of Education (BOE) will be changing from its monthly meetings from in person meetings to online meetings for the foreseeable future. 

“The Board aims to make these meetings as accessible to the public as possible,” said Shane Lipp, chairman of the Harris County BOE.

Board members, the superintendent, and the assistant superintendents will participate virtually via Google Meets, an online meeting platform. While the meeting is occurring, it may be viewed via livestream at  www.harris.k12.ga.us/boardmeeting. Viewers must be logged into Google with our guest account. The login details are:

Password - guest123

The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. If there is trouble accessing the livestream, email dennie-d@harris.k12.ga.us. 

Lipp added, “We appreciate the continued patience and understanding of all involved.”
